The Melee, also known as the Whisk, is a melee weapon added to the game in Version 0.43.00. By pressing F (players can change this in the settings), the player can swing the whisk at another player and it deals 40 damage up close. The Whisk cannot be spammed, as it swings once for about a one and a half second duration (reduced after April 2023), and must be timed correctly to hurt a player. The Whisk has the shortest range compared to all other weapons but used correctly, it can effectively be used to dispatch opponents at short range. When in a close fight, instead of having to switch to the pistol you can swing the whisk which will kill the enemy. The whisk can also be used to damage multiple enemies at once, but this is very rare and should not be relied on. It is mostly used to kill a player below 40 health which makes it faster to kill the opponent. The whisk is seen as an unexpected attack and therefore, is very effective on low HP players. There are currently 92 Melees.

From its release in Mid-October 2022 until the Farm Update, every player was equipped with the same melee weapon. The player wielded the default Whisk skin from mid-October to November, wielded a Corncob (now a default melee as of the Farm Update) during the It's Corn update, wielded an Eggsmas Cracker during the Crackin' Eggsmas update, and wielded a Candy Cane during the Shellebration update (the latter two being removed from the game after the new update). Weapon skins don't alter player performance in any way.

As of the Farm Update, the new User Interface released a new whisk selection screen, where the user could customize the melee they wanted to use. A few melee skins are unlocked by default, being the default Whisk, the Corn Cob, and the Gnarled Club. A few melee skins are also available in the Shop, the Memphis skin, the Brown Country Singer skin, and the Cheap Wings skin, each with prices similar to their gun skin counterparts. Other melee skins can be purchased in the Shop.

Some people can also get codes for melees by winning tournaments, events, or giveaways. The three rarest Melee skins are the Albino Melee, the Flame Melee, and the Buck Rogers Melee.

As of April 2023, the melee swing cool-down timer was slightly reduced, allowing the player to swing the whisk faster.

In the August 2024 Version 0.48.5 update, people can hold "F" (or your preferred) key to inspect the preferred melee skin you hold.

Gameplay Tips

• Use the Whisk with a Crackshot or a RPEGG, as you can deal high damage both up close and from afar.
• The Whisk one-shots players with the Egg Breaker powerup regardless of shield, making it very useful for killing lots of eggs.
• The Whisk has small range, and it is sometimes better to use the pistol to kill an enemy instead.
• Don't approach players predictably while using the Whisk because it will make you an easy target.
• Pretend to retreat, then suddenly turn and attack when the enemy lets their guard down.
• Learn the best spots for surprise attacks, like tunnels or tight corridors where enemies have limited escape options.
• The whisk will only work if you are next to the target, not inside or too close because then the hitbox will not work.
• The whisk is a great way to finish of nearby players who have taken a lot of damage. Doing this also saves you ammunition.
  • It is the only sidearm utility to not have ammunition.
• The whisk is mentioned in the only tip given by Blue Wizard Digital regarding the Tri-Hard in the server-loading screen, written as follows: "When using the tri-hard at close range, melee between bursts.
• The Melee skin(s) of the Albino Set, Buck Rogers Set, and the Flame Set are one of the rarest weapons in their respective sets.
  • All being released at different times.
• When using the Whipper or EggK-47, finishing off eggs with the melee is faster than with Cluck 9mm or with bullets from your primary clip.
• In melee royales, an opponent having slightly over 80 health is effectively the same as having 100 health. This is because in both cases, you need 3 hits to kill your opponent.
• Before reloading your gun in close range fights, swinging your melee can be very effective, especially when you opponent is reloading and you will be able to find enough cover to protect yourself while you finish reloading.
