Features
Overview
Helix has a width of 15 tiles, a depth of 15 tiles, and a maximum height of 11 tiles and uses the default skybox. It has a fog density of 0.02 with a light blue-grey color.
Top Floor
The top of Helix, is a flat surface with stairs and crates. There are several entrances to the top, via ladders an tunnels. There is a ledge that wraps around the entire roof. Crackshots and Free Rangers are the best weapons to use on the roof; you can snipe enemies below you. It is also recommended in a teams game mode to have a close range player. In case the top gets infiltrated by the opposing team, having a Scrambler or a Whipper player at the top will come in handy when dealing with the intruders.
Middle Floors
The middle floors are the action packed areas of the map. It is very chaotic on these floors as people camp the ladders and stair entrances. Pretty much all weapons are recommended, given that you don't know where an opponent can attack from, and you've got to be on your feet at all times. These floors consist of ladders, stairs, ledges, openings, etc.
Ground Floor
The ground floor is the main spawning location(s) of the players. Reds and blues spawn in their own little areas to stay away from harm. The ground floor is quite flat, crates are the only obstacles. Having RPEGG players camping the ladders can be very useful, as the range is long enough for the rocket-bullet to do impact. Whipper and Scrambler players also fare very well in this floor due to the limitedness jumping of opponents in some zones, but still being able to freely move.
Tactics
- Having a diverse set of weapons on your team is very beneficial, especially in King of the Coop.
- Being on the top floor can be very advantageous to a Free Ranger or Crackshot player due the vast view of the map and relative safeness from Whipper and Scrambler players.
- As an RPEGG player, this is a great map due to the number of blocks one can fire at, the height of floors one can reach, as well as the limited movement some opposing players may have at certain zones, ultimately offering a huge benefit.
