Stage is a big map in Shell Shockers. It was added in the July update of 2020 in Version 0.27.8 and was first added to the private map pool like most other maps. The reason this map is so musically themed is because at the time, the Droppin’ Mad Beaks Event was happening which added a ton of musically themed stamps and weapon skins. It also featured this map. The map had been added to the public map pool a few weeks later in late 2020 before being moved back to the private map pool in or around December 2020. In the mid-May update of 2021 (Version 0.39.8), the map was reintroduced to the public map pool.
The map features a stage, a flat area to battle, and an underground part under the field. There are instruments like drums and guitars scattered along the map which you can jump on. There are also two loudspeakers at the back of the courtyard which can be used to hide behind and shoot the people on the stage or field. In the mid-May update of 2021 (Version 0.39.8), the see-through blocks were fixed and the stage was made a bit bigger.
Features
The Stage
The stage makes a perfect battleground for close-range battles because of the flatness of the stage. There is a drum which you can jump on, a guitar, and some loudspeakers. Be aware that players around can snipe you from the field if you're not moving, as there are some sneaky spots, especially on the top level of the field. Players who may have just spawned at the back of the stage can also ambush you. You have a chance of spawning here. There are stairs on opposite sides that lead to the underground area. You can get onto the stage using the front or by using parkour. This is also the area where you can clearly see other people.
Field
In the map, there is a field area from where you can access the underground area. There are also levels. Here, you should use short-range weapons. Sniper players can hide here and kill people on the stage. On the rim (boundary of the map with the trees), you can camp because first-timer players probably won’t expect you to be there. Even if another enemy player sees you, they probably won’t kill you because of the protection of the trees.
Underground Area
The underground area under the stage is an area of battles. There are a few boxes and stones. In the middle, there is an area which is a bit deeper and is lit up brightly by stage light. You can access this area by stairs leading up to the field. You can find a great deal of ammo here. Some intense fights happen here. There are some instruments that are positioned in a way that you get cover, but can shoot. Watch out for campers here.
Trivia
- This map is used for “Fashion Shows” on a Blue Wizard Digital stream or another streamer’s stream. A theme is chosen for the fashion show, and the player with the best skin wins the entire event. Players line up in front of the stage at the gate, and the judge, the Content Creator, stands on the stage, selecting eliminating people based on their fit one by one until there is a winner.
