shellshockers

Temple is a map in Shell Shockers. It was added in Version 0.27.5 and is in the private map pool until Version 0.39.7 which put it in the public map pool. The map is quite large compared with other maps in Shell Shockers. It is a multi-layered map, similar to Two Towers. It's a pretty big map. A significant difference between the two maps is that Temple has a roof that players can go onto. This map has no ladders, only ramps. The map is symmetrical.

Features

Ground Floor

The ground floor of the map is flat and has a few staircases leading up to the upper floors. This area is empty, so be cautious of sniper players from the floating center and rooftop. This place is suitable for both long and short-ranged weapons, but short-ranged weapons are preferred due to the confined space and corners.

Towers

There are floating towers at the side of the map, two for each team. You have a decent chance of spawning here and if you don’t you can spawn on the first floor or further into the tower. If you spawn here, jump off immediately to avoid being killed right away by campers, especially Crackshot campers on the roof. The lower two towers you can jump to and actually camp there as most players cannot see you because of the tower especially for the lowest tower.

Floating Center

There’s a floating center right below the rooftop. It’s symmetrical because it’s the center line. You can only access it by falling down from the rooftop. It is be a great place for long-range players to camp, specifically Free Ranger and Crackshot players, as you can see the entire top, and an extensive view of the map.

Rooftop

There are access points to the top from both sides of the temple. These lead to the top, which has three long holes on each side. This is an ideal spot for camping because you get a panoramic view of the entire map. Additionally, it’s a great place to ambush enemies trying to climb up. The first part of the ascent is quite narrow, making it difficult for them to dodge, and most likely, they’ll fall off. Additionally, this makes long-range players at the Roof far less vulnerable, as there is greater risk for someone to target them from below, due to the massive height advantage. This location is particularly advantageous for long-range weapons. However, if you can’t find anyone to kill, come here and if you spot them, jump down behind them and eliminate them. The roof is objectively the best place for Long-Range players, such as Crackshot and Free Ranger players, to stay.
